A PERFECT STORM IN REAL ESTATE
What's going on in your real estate marketplace? We have been more busy than I have ever remembered
being in 7 years of real estate. We constantly have appointments, are adding lots of new listings and working with plenty of buyers. This has been such a new kind of market.
When's the last time that you can remember a December, January and February being more busy than your May, June and July? We've run into the perfect storm in the real estate marketplace.
What have you been focusing on to keep your business rolling? For me, I've had to learn how to effectively prospect for new business, practice time blocking, use extra communication to keep frustrated sellers from canceling their listings, negotiate short sales, and keep buyers calm when trying to wait for a short sale and price my listings to sell. This is a market that you need to get creative in. The old ways of marketing just won't cut it.
Some creative ways we market are by:
•· Creating property address website such as www.9MaddenRoad.com
•· Advertising on Blogs and Facebook
•· Networking with other agents
•· Price Watching
•· Property Business Cards

Don't let this market pass you by. Right now is your time to shine and to seize the moment! This is a defining market. Where do you want to come out at? I know for me, it will be the top of the mountain!
BE BOLD!

Kathleen, You and James are obviously doing everything right! Congratulations on having such a busy real estate practice!
Thank you Shirley! I really have missed being in the Rain lately. I am going to get more purposeful about blogging again. You guys keep me going! :)
Hi Kathleen,
I've been using property business cards as well. I've gotten a good response to them, but mine aren't quite as well formatted as yours.
I agree with Shriley!
Keep plugging away and you will certainly come out on top!
I know it has been a challenging year and a half.
Thanks,
Tom Davis
Congratulations - I like the property business cards - haven't seen them locally.
I remember the calm before the storm. It was a nice break from these crazy times :)
Congrats! It has been busy, especially for this time of year. No complaints here...enjoy the storm! Good luck these coming months.
the property business cards are a great idea for subdivisions and open house events.....thanks....that's great and will be purchasing some.
I'm thinking I should do a detailed blog about them now, so many people are curious about them. They're great, the sellers even help pass them out by bringing them to work. I've listed a home of someone that works at the hospital and someone at the bank and they pass them out all over. Great exposure for me and their home. Not expensive at all.
There is no question that the Spring market has come early this year. It is great to see all the early activity!
Thankfully, I've been busier this winter than in past winters. Glad to hear you are too!
The buying season has sprung early this season!
Please do a post on the Property Business cards - it is very interesting concept that I really haven't heard much about. I would love to read more about what you do to utilize them effectively!
Hi Cara,
I will definitely do a post on them. I'll start working on it today and have it up by the end of this weekend.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Sincerely,
Kathleen
With Tax Season coming to an end soon I need to be ready to roll with Real Estate Deals!
It's difficult to juggle both when taxes are in full swing but I know I have to think RE at this point or I'll have a stale quarter and that just wont do! Thanks for the post reminding us all we have to stay in the game to gain!
Hi Kathleen, I thank you so much for your great insight, and real estate marketing tips, I feel that the biusiness cards is a great idea for when showing your properties, and the single site for each house you have listed is also a great idea, which I will look more into ,) Thank you so much for sharing and keep blogging! Feel free to get some ideas from my site also if you like, http://www.leslie4homes.com
