 100 DAYS OF CENTRAL MASS FEATURES SPRINGFIELD UNION STATION

Springfield Union Station was built in 1926 by the Boston and Albany RailroadAmtrak took over the train station in the 1970s when money was in shortage for railroads.  Springfield Union Station is currently the 5th busiest in the state servicing over 310 passengers per day on average.

Springfield Union Station primarily services the New Haven - Springfield Shuttle trains.  The station consists of 6 tracks, 3 that service the B&A Main Line and 3 serving the Amtrak Springfield Line

Day 95: 100 Days of Central Mass Features Grafton Station

 100 DAYS OF CENTRAL MASS FEATURES GRAFTON STATION

Grafton is a great commuter town for Central Massachusetts.  One of the reasons being Grafton Station, a passenger rail station on MBTA Commuter Rail's Framingham/Worcester line. 

Grafton Station is located officially at 1 Pine Street North in North Grafton, but it cannot be found on any maps at that address.  It is actually located off of Green Street.  There is a public parking lot featuring 373 parking spaces with a rate of $4 for parking.

Day 94: 100 Days of Central Mass Features Union Station in Worcester

 100 DAYS OF CENTRAL MASS FEATURES UNION STATION IN WORCESTER

Located in Washington Square in Worcester, Union Station is one of Worcester's great landmarks.  Union Station was originally built in 1911 and abandoned in 1975.  The rundown and neglected station was acquired and renovated by the Worcester Redevelopment Authority and opened back up in July of 2000.  In 2006, an intercity and local bus terminal with 5 bus ports was added.
