2011 Goal To Do 52 Video Blogs Starts NOW!

2011 GOAL TO DO 52 VIDEO BLOGS STARTS NOW!

So for the new year I have a lofty goal of completing 52 video blog entries averaging out to one per week.  I'm cutting it close here with this one.  I told my Blogging Class before vacation that I'd promise to do a video blog if they'd at least do a written one.  My next class is tomorrow, getting it in right under the wire!  

Video is so important and it's natural, but for some reason for me it's just awkward.  Here's my attempt #1 for the year and I promise to improve!  Thanks for watching!

What's Your Fave Vlogging Weapon? Flip, Bloggie, Kodak Playsport?

What's Your Fave Vlogging Weapon? Flip, Bloggie, Kodak Playsport? 

I have the HD Flip camera to do quick, point and shoot videos on the go.  Lately I've been leaning towards doing more video blogs aka vlogging on my blog and also reconsidering my tools for doing so.  I enjoy making video on my MacBook better than the Flip because I can see myself and it makes it a little easier to do.  The Flip doesn't allow me to see what I'm videoing from the front so I have to shoot it and then go back and watch it which usually leads to several retakes.  

What's your weapon of choice when it comes to Vlogging?  What made you choose the camera you have?  I know Flips are hugely marketed and talked about, but reading some CNET reviews it looks like it's competitors may have even more bells and whistles to play with.

 2 Day Tom Ferry Seminar, Active Rain & Video Blogging - My First Crack At It

Yesterday and today I attended a 2 day Tom Ferry seminar.  What good stuff!  Lots of great ideas and it was a very enjoyable couple of workshops to attend.  My head is going crazy with all of the good ideas I want to implement into my business.

The first thing was something I've been saying for a year I want to start doing:  video blogging.  I'm a little camera shy, but practice makes perfect, right? 

It was great to see the Active Rain crew in Massachusetts signing up agents and mortgage planners to start blogging.  Not enough bloggers in my area and I'm hoping to help change that. 

Check out my first video blog below.  I need to do it more often and get comfortable with it.  I know, I look like I have ADD moving around so much!  LOL
