Hi All! I wanted to take a few minutes to help enhance your life. If you're like me and you don't spend much time on reading, you MUST read this! This year I made a goal for myself of reading more. Aiming to average a book per week or roughly 50 books for the year. I started off with The Seven Levels of Communication by Michael J. Maher. I can't tell you enough good things about this book!
First off, it is such an easy read. I am a slow reader as it is. It takes me awhile to absorb stuff. I completed this book in 3 days and could read it over and over again. It's written like a story and I feel that makes it much more interesting. I took pages and pages of notes of stuff I want to slowly start implementing into my business.
The Seven Levels of Communication will teach you about building relationships and turning those into referrals for your business. I set another goal for myself after reading the book to give out 150 referrals this year. I've learned how to connect people with people and I'm tracking that for the year. It's a ton of fun! When you're helping others they appreciate it and someday they will think of you when the time is right. I love the book's idea of throwing housewarming parties with my business partners for our clients. It really helps mold you in to a team rather than just individual parts of the sale. I've recommended the book to all of my business partners so we can start planning our first housewarming party after our next closing. I have been working on sending out the hand written note cards which sounds very easy to do, but I'm finding it's the hardest part to keep up with. They are simple and very effective, but time consuming to keep up with everyday. I set a small goal for the week for myself with them and hope to grow from there.
If you have some time and you're looking for a good read worth so much more than your time, definitely pick up a copy of Michael J. Maher's Seven Levels. He's an amazing, down to earth author who is in touch with his readers and there to give. If you take his advice and learn to be a giver the possibilities are endless.
