Day 70: 100 Days of Central Mass Features Spring

100 DAYS OF CENTRAL MASS FEATURES SPRING

In the beginning of Spring here in Central Mass, we are usually still enjoying snow on the ground and even snowfall for much of the first few months.  Once it starts to melt away and we get in mid season, it is truly refreshing to enjoy the warmer air moving back in and the sprouting of life again amongst the trees.  Spring is a great time to start taking some early trips to the beach to enjoy the scenery and fresh air.

Spring also brings one of our beloved sports back into action - baseball.  Boston Redsox start playing again, beginning with their spring training in Florida where many Massachusetts residents follow just to watch.

There are many great lakes and rivers to kayak on throughout Central Mass.  We enjoy the Quaboag River in Brookfield and kayaking with friends on Hamilton Reservoir in Holland.  We usually plan a trip to Southwick's Zoo and Animal Farm every Spring, such a great zoo that the entire family will enjoy.  What ever you enjoy doing, the Spring is a great time to do it.
