Reverse Prospecting - Are You Utilizing It?
In our MLS system we have reverse prospecting. It's a simple way to email the other agents that have clients matching your listing's criteria. You can use it to announce open houses, new listings and price adjustments.
It seems that the same few agents are using this tool while many others never do. This got me thinking that I better make sure I'm utilizing that function always. It will help set me apart that much more from the competition. I actually do take the time to read those emails when I see them because they look like emails from agents that could be potentially be about one of my properties. When I notice what they are, I still look them over and quickly think if I know someone that may be interested in that property.
Reverse prospecting is great for new listings and is just as great at helping you stay sharp as a buyer's agent. Are you utilizing it?
