This past week I had the opportunity to fly out to Austin, Texas to attend Keller Williams Mega Camp. Mega Camp is a day and a half of some of the best training you can get from real people doing real big things in their market places. The bigger than life founder and author Gary Keller is the host of it all and we heard from many top agents including our very own David Hill. The most amazing part was the fact that we had over 10,000 people attend in Austin when our competitor had a hard time getting 2,000 to come to their convention. This is just our secondary one with our main event being Family Reunion in February!
Everything was covered from technology with Ben Kinney and crew (I have the Geeky shirt to prove it!) to farming with Kurt and Darla Buehler. We learned great ideas on doing tours of homes, luxury magazine farming, Craig's List advertising for free, investor marketing, pre-listing package strategies, expired listings and much MORE! It's going to take me a week just to go over all of the notes I took and choose which new ideas I'm going to start incorporating into my business now. After hours at Mega Camp were just as learning based, but in a totally different way. 
We had karaoke, we had bull riding and we had some of the Mega agents in the country to hang with. We took pictures with UFC fighters and saw MC Hammer in a club. 6th Street was an experience in itself. Bonds were formed with new people as well as people in our own Market Centers that we may not get the chance to see all of the time back home.
If you're on the fence about spending the money and taking the time to attend Mega Camp or Family Reunion, I say just do it! You'll be pleasantly surprised!
