Hamilton Reservoir, also known as Holland Lake is located south of the center of Holland, MA. It is fully recreational and relatively large at 412 acres. Hamilton Reservoir is split by Mashapaug Road into two parts - a north basin and a south basin. The reservoir is pretty shallow with an average depth of 6 feet and a maximum depth of 21 feet. There are approximately 9 miles of shoreline which is 70% developed with residential homes and cottages. The southern most tip of the reservoir lies in the state of Connecticut.

The South Charlton Reservoir in Charlton, MA is a full recreational lake without restrictions! You can boat, swim, ski and fish! This is said to be the 3rd cleanest lake in Massachusetts. South Charlton Reservoir features a great water-ski club for all that are interested. The SCRA (South Charlton Reservoir Association) Water Ski Club has been around for more than 50 years to help teach people how to water ski and wakeboard. They encourage community involvement and it is not mandatory to be a lake resident to participate in the Ski Club. The SCRA often hosts charitable events to help the Worcester County Food Bank, Why Me, and The Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation. Events include ice fishing derbies, elegant wine dinners, bike rides and team challenges. SCRA club members have gone on to compete in regional and national competitions. South Pond, also known as Quacumquasit Lake, is the largest and deepest of the Sturbridge lakes. It is fully recreational with the exceptiong of jet skis due to the lake's size. It is located in the Northeastern section of town, close to the Brookfield townline. South Pond is connected by a narrow channel to North Pond, also known as Quaboag Lake. South Pond is about 218 acres with an average depth of 32.5 feet and maximum depth of 72 feet. There is a public beach located off of Lake Street on the north end of the lake. If you enjoy fishing, you can find Black Crappie, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Brown Trout, Chain Pickerel, Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed , Rainbow Trout, White Perch, Yellow Bullhead, and Yellow Perch in this lake.
