HEY ACTIVE RAIN - WHO DO I HAVE TO "SLEEP" WITH
TO GET A FEATURED BLOG POST???
Are you wondering what it takes to create a featured blog post here in the rain? Well I have been too! Some days it feels like you've blogged out something good, you're getting comments and people are interested in what you are saying. You get all excited, you feel those little butterflies in your stomach like "this might be the one!". A few days pass by and then you realize that you have to try again, better luck next blog.
What kind of content makes it to the ellite status of "Featured" blog post? Is it the catchy title, the amusing content or the flashy pictures? I've seen some featured with none of the above. What does a featured blog post get you? In my mind, I imagine having a featured blog post and getting way more comments than I ever imagined possible on a single post. I can envision making new friends, gaining the trust of new readers and possibly even blog followers. A featured post also means a cool little icon when I comment on other blogs that shows that I've had one featured, it's like a trophy for blogging out greatness.
The day that I bang out a featured blog post will be the day that I step it up a notch even higher and make my blog have a special little domain name and a fresh outside look. I've been on the fence for some time as to whether or not I should make the leap, but I've recently made it to the 100,000 points milestone and figured next on my agenda is a featured post and lastly an outside blog.
So I ask this question: Who do you have to "sleep" with to get a featured blog post around here???
