Cedar Point - The Most AMAZING Place on Earth!!!
This past weekend I had the honor of taking a road trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio with a couple of my friends. 12 hours of driving straight through Thursday night landed us in Sandusky at almost noon on Friday. After showering up and having some lunch we set off for the park. We purchased 2 day tickets to make sure we didn't miss a thing while we were there. Definitely recommend 2 days to get through everything. This park was HUGE!!!
Cedar Point is one of the world's best, if not THE BEST amusement park out there. There are over 95 rides and 16 roller coasters. Every year I watch the top roller coaster shows on the Travel Channel and Cedar Point never fails to have at least 2 coasters in the lineup.
My personal favorite was the Top Thrill Dragster. Shooting you off at 120 MPH in 3.8 seconds this train launches up 420 feet straight into the air and then spirals you straight back down to the ground as you're looking at Lake Erie. Only lasts for a total of almost 17 seconds, but SO worth it! Check out this YouTube video to get a view as a rider on what you can expect. Don't worry, it's only ever not cleared the top 3 times in history and 2 of those times it was stuck at the top where someone had to ride up the elevator and manually push it over the edge to get the riders down. Scary, but THRILLING!
Here is me enjoying the Dragster we rode 3x!!!

My 2nd favorite was Millenium Force. A coaster with a 300 foot drop flying at a super fast speed of 93 MPH. That's 20 MPH faster and 80 feet higher than Bizarro at Six Flags New England close to where I live! Here is Wendy and I flexing in front of the sign of the monster coaster we rode 2 times, once in the front row!

Other than great coasters and one of the Great Lakes, Sandusky does not have much else to brag about. The city was pretty run down, but we did manage to find a drive through package store. LOL We stayed at a nice B&B just minutes from the park and it was easy getting in and out. We were just a few blocks from the water and were able to walk into town for dinner. Here is me, Wendy & Bill enjoying an excellent dinner & cocktails at Crush Winebar. Highly recommend, the food was amazing!

To sum it all up, Cedar Point is the most AMAZING place on earth! Never in my lifetime will I find a better park or ride better rides. Definitely making this an annual trip! Thanks for stopping by!
