Why ActiveRain? All Of My Comments Come From Other REALTORS!
Here is a question/issue that comes up a lot when I'm discussing blogging with other professionals. I always explain why ActiveRain is my blogging platform of choice (as if it's not easy enough to see the HUGE benefits of it), but then the question comes up 
about how is it a good thing if most of the people commenting are other professionals and not consumers?
about how is it a good thing if most of the people commenting are other professionals and not consumers? Well then...lets think about this for a quick second. When you post a Just Listed blog, what do you expect consumers to be writing about in your comment box? The awesome TV in the living room? The floor plan? No, they're simply observing the important features they're looking for and assessing if the home is right for them or not. 9 times out of 10 they are not going to leave a comment on the post, but you may get 5 REALTORS that congratulate you on the new listing. AWESOME!
Blog For Exposure!
When you are posting to ActiveRain, don't use the comments section to measure how popular your blogs are. This is not a full proof method of how well you're doing and if you're getting read. Your message is out there and out there in the most places possible. Keep doing your thing, be consistent! Figure out your target audience and write to them. Forget the rest! Comments are great, but they're by no means what we write for.
